Hannah Lo
Hannah Lo, Youth Jazz & Ballet Teacher
Hannah was born and raised in Ottawa, ON where her love for dance blossomed at age of 5. Now, she teaches Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, and Acro.
Growing up, she trained in gymnastics, acrobatics, jazz and extensively in Vaganova Ballet, completing her Russian Ballet Society exams from grades 1-8. Later on, she trained in RAD ballet, successfully completing her Intermediate Vocational exam in 2020. On top of that, she received distinction for Acrobatic Arts exams that same year.
Hannah competed across the province of Ontario in jazz, acro, contemporary & lyrical and performed in numerous end-of-year recitals. Moreover, participating in several different ballet productions like Midsummer's Night Dream, Vivaldi’s Seasonal Quartet, Alice in Wonderland, and Swan Lake with Ballet Jörgen.
Currently, she is pursuing her B.A. in Psychology at Carleton University with a Minor in Neuroscience and is passionate about advocating for mental health and neurodiversity awareness! In her classes she has a big emphasis on correct alignment and technique in order to reduce injury risk as well as adapting her teaching style to suit the learning style of her dancers.
Furthermore, she is a member of Carleton University Dance Lab, participating in weekly classes and choreographing for a year end show! Outside of school she enjoys taking dance classes of all styles and it is her goal as an adult to take as many different styles as she can!
